This handmade set of two bowl plates is one of my absolute favourite pieces to use every day. Some people call them bowl plates. I call them Girl Dinner Bowls, because they’re the perfect combination of a plate and a bowl. They have enough of a rim to keep sauces, dressings, and toppings where they belong while still feeling like you’re eating from a plate.
They’re perfect for pasta, salads, stir fry, curry, rice bowls, soups with a sandwich, taco salad, loaded nachos, breakfast hash, or those random “girl dinner” meals where you throw together a little bit of everything. Once you start using them, you’ll probably find yourself reaching for them more than any other dish in your cupboard.
Each bowl is handmade by me here in Alberta, Canada using Canadian clay. No two pieces are ever identical, and that is the beauty of handmade pottery. Variations in glaze, texture, shape, speckling, and small imperfections are all part of the process and what make each piece one of a kind. If you are looking for factory-perfect pottery, this probably is not for you. My work is meant to feel human, unique, and full of character. Functional art that gets to be part of your everyday life.
Dishwasher safe, but harsh detergents and high temperatures can sometimes dull or discolor the glaze. Use a gentle detergent if possible.
